I’m Chris Davidson, a Los Angeles based camera operator specializing in documentary, branded, and unscripted storytelling.

Originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania, I first picked up a small JVC MiniDV camera when I was 15 and started filming homemade films with my friends. Those early experiments sparked my love for filmmaking, especially camera movement which would later inspire me to specialize in gimbal operation.

My work is rooted in creating honest, cinematic images that feel natural and emotionally connected to the people and stories on screen. I’ve filmed projects for Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and Peacock, along with branded campaigns, nonprofit stories, interviews, live events, independent documentaries, and behind-the-scenes films for pharmaceutical companies.

My credits include Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes for HBO, Krishnas: Gurus. Karma. Murder. for Peacock, and Hola Mama, a documentary exploring Chile’s illegal adoption network.

Whether I’m operating handheld, creating dynamic movement with a gimbal, or capturing intimate documentary moments, my goal is always the same: to create thoughtful, cinematic images that elevate the story and connect with the audience.
